Inko Community Guidelines

Prohibited content and behavior

• Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse.
• Sexual content, nudity, exploitation, grooming, or content involving minors.
• Fraud, scams, visa or job brokerage abuse, spam, misleading links, or impersonation.
• Illegal activity, violence, self-harm promotion, or instructions for harm.
• Sharing private information without consent.
• Repeated unwanted contact through comments, profiles, or 1:1 chat.

External channel solicitation is prohibited

To protect users from romance scams, phishing, and hacking, Inko strictly prohibits users from encouraging, requesting, or directing other users to move to external channels, including third-party messaging services, social networks, open chat rooms, and websites, as part of its operating policy.

Moving to external channels can leave users exposed to recurring scams, sexual harassment, and other harmful conduct without Inko's safeguards.

Inko cannot monitor conversations or activity on external channels, which limits its ability to verify incidents, prevent harm, or provide protection and support for affected users.

If a user is found to have solicited others to move to external channels, Inko may immediately and permanently ban their account and terminate access to the service without prior warning or notice.

No dating or romantic partner solicitation in the public feed

Inko supports friendship, language exchange, and cultural exchange. Public feed posts and comments must not be used primarily to seek or recruit dates, romantic partners, or sexual partners, including requests for people to contact the author for those purposes.

This rule applies equally regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Moderation considers the full context and actual requests, not isolated words. Expressing an identity or sexual orientation, asking about shared identities, or seeking ordinary friends, language partners, or hobby groups is not by itself a violation.

When dating or romantic partner solicitation is confirmed, Inko may hide or remove the content and explain the applicable rule. Repeated violations after guidance may result in posting restrictions or other account restrictions according to their severity. Users may contact [email protected] to request a review.

This rule applies after its effective date has been announced to users. Content posted before that date is not treated as a prior violation solely because this rule was added.

Reports, blocks, and moderation

Users can report posts, comments, profiles, images, and chat messages in the app. Users can also block abusive users. Inko reviews reports and may hide content, restrict accounts, suspend users, or take other safety actions. For serious violations—including impersonation, fraud or scams, hateful conduct, sexually explicit content, threats, exploitation, or other conduct posing an immediate safety or legal risk—Inko may impose these measures immediately and without prior notice, including terminating access to the service.

Photos added to profiles and feed posts and photos sent in chats are checked for sexual content before other people see them. A pornographic or sexually explicit image, such as a nude or genital photo, is declined and the account is suspended immediately and indefinitely, without prior warning. An operator can reverse a mistaken decision on request at [email protected].
